Katelyn was born and raised in the South. She was drawn to working with children and the arts at a very young age. Katelyn pursued a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama. After graduation Katelyn was recruited to work at the first STEAM elementary school in the world, teaching and developing curriculum. She loves teaching students using thematic and passion-based topics while integrating all areas of academics. Katelyn moved to Los Angeles in 2014 and found her home at MUSE. She loves inspiring children to take risks, be active participants in their learning and advocate for themselves! Katelyn recently completed her masters degree in Childhood Psychology and Counseling. Outside of teaching, she enjoys traveling, photography, sports of any kind and spending time with her husband.
