Jarrett Carter
A graduate of Morgan State University, Jarrett L. Carter Sr. is the founding editor of HBCU Digest, an online daily news blog dedicated to coverage of historically black colleges and universities throughout the United States, read by more than 1.1 million people annually in 121 nations worldwide. He is also a columnist for the Huffington Post, where he files exclusive editorial and original feature content on people, culture and issues at historically Black colleges and universities for the 'Black Voices' imprint of the online publication. As one of the nation’s foremost authorities on HBCU news and culture, he is also the host of the HBCU Digest Podcast Series, the founder and executive director of the Center for HBCU Media Advocacy--a national non-profit organization working to enhance HBCUs' new media and media outreach opportunities--and serves as convener of National HBCU Media Week.
