David Kass

Council for a Strong America

David Kass has served as the President of the Council for a Strong America since 2003. Here, he directs their overall operations for each of Council for America’s five organizations: Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, ReadyNation, Mission: Readiness, Shepherding The Next Generation, and Champions for America’s Future.

Previously, David served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislation at the U.S. Department of Housing, where he managed the agency’s Congressional affairs office. As a staff person on Capitol Hill, he has worked on children’s issues, as well as at several nonprofits. David holds a master’s degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public Affairs and a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College.
