Laura Kelly
Laura Kelly joined Carnegie Mellon University in August 2015, becoming the first social media manager for the school’s main channels. Laura’s social coverage for the university includes Hillary Clinton’s campaign visit, President Barack Obama’s Frontiers Conference, The Tony Awards Red Carpet, SXSW 2016, campus life and much more. Laura’s first livestream for the university was a transatlantic interview between Davos, Switzerland and Pittsburgh, PA during the World Economic Forum in 2016. Since then, Laura has produced over 60 livestreams, including a two-hour, dual-location Tony Awards Pre-Show from Radio City Music Hall. Topics for the livestreams have ranged from orientation information for incoming students, to policy topics under a changing administration, to Q&As with award-winning actors.
In her role, Laura also serves as the chair for the university-wide social media group, consisting of over 75 communicators to create cohesive campaigns.
