As Director of the Social Media Strategy Hub for North Carolina State University, Nicholas uses both strategic and “hands-on” tactical skills to deliver solutions to communications and marketing challenges. He has more than ten years of professional communications and marketing experience—nine of which have been focused on building social media operations and marketing for institutional brands. While at The Ohio State University, he managed social media teams for the enterprise and the alumni association. Utilizing brand monitoring / listening / analytics / metrics tools, his team deepened the organization’s ability to understand brand sentiment, to increase share of voice, and to enhance and expand response capabilities in crisis situations.Starting out in digital media with ESPN, as a Video Editor and Talent, Nicholas has a strong background in content creation for various mediums. While serving as Senior Associate Director of Social Media and Search for the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business (2013-2016), he developed and implemented global social media strategies that enhanced brand awareness, increases engagement and deepened relationships with key audiences, internationally.
