Helen Jang leverages the power of technology to inform education policy and practice. Her
work, which spans 20 years, demonstrates effective and engaging
research dissemination designed to reach a wide range of audiences through print, web, and social media. Ms. Jang directs RTI’s Center for Digital Solutions, Education and Workforce Development. Her Center’s projects range from sophisticated data analysis systems to multimedia social networking sites that link researchers, students, teachers, and industry professionals. Pivotal work includes DataLab, which provides public access to federal data from 30 studies and millions of records; Advance, an interactive reporting tool that provides high-quality, actionable, data-driven reports that can be used by schools, districts, and states to improve the college readiness and student success; and the Early Grade Reading Barometer, a data visualization tool for improving access to and understanding of early grade reading assessment data.
