Rebecca Covert

REBECCA COVERT worked as a dramatic play & music teaching artist in Allegheny County for the past sixteen years for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, Gateway to the Arts, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, and the PA Council on the Arts. She develops and facilitates school workshops that fuse arts integration strategies with curricular instruction. Rebecca leads professional development workshops for PA educators and artists statewide on arts integration, storytelling strategies, and arts engagement for Autistic students. A proud mother of an Autistic child, she founded the Firefly Arts Project to provide families with Autistic children a safe place to build community through arts programming. In 2016, Rebecca founded and became Executive Director of Jumping Jack Theater with Stephen Santa, Artistic Director.
