June Ahn is an Associate Professor in the Educational Communication and Technology program. He has a PhD in Urban Education Policy from the University of Southern California, MA in Computing and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an AB in Computing and Education from Brown University. Previously, June was an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park where he held a joint appointment in the College of Information Studies and College of Education. He directed the Human-Computer Interaction Lab, one of the oldest HCI labs in the country. His research spans across the fields of Learning Sciences, Information Sciences, Education, and Human-Computer Interaction. His work has received best paper nominations across these fields including at the International Conference of the Learning Sciences, American Educational Research Association, Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, and the Association for Information Science and Technology.
