Wesley Imms
Dr. Wesley Imms is an Associate Professor in the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, its Head of Visual Art and Design Education, and its Research Domain Coordinator for Curriculum and Teaching. He holds education degrees granted in Australia and Canada, including a research MA and a PhD in Curriculum Studies from the University of British Columbia. Dr Imms is lead Chief Investigator on two current Australian Research Council Linkage Projects, the 2016-2020 Innovative Learning Environments and Teacher Change project and the 2013-2017 Evaluating 21st Century Learning Environments project. He has secured over AUS$12M in external research funding since 2000 and run over 60 workshops in schools, working with teachers to help transfer this learning into professional settings. Current teaching activities include coordinating seven subjects spanning curriculum and studio practice, innovative learning spaces, and Masters-level learning spaces capstone and teacher/practitioner subjects.
