ILab Engineer
Invention Studio & The Nueva School

Connie is an I-Lab Engineer at Nueva and a graduate from MIT with a degree in mechanical engineering. Her passion for education and user-centered design in college led her to found MIT Design For America, an organization dedicated to designing solutions to problems in the local community. She helped this organization grow to 300+ membership and raise $10,000 in funding in its first year and it continues to grow today. As an engineer, she has worked on a wide range of assistive technologies including a finger-mounted text reading device for the blind and a smart tremor-compensating pen for people with hand tremors. At Nueva, Connie teaches robotics and design thinking, and started the Design Engineering for Social Good class and Invention Studio, a high school accelerator for students designing impactful products.
