Tobie Baker-Wright
Tobie is an Associate Director at Jobs For the Future, providing expertise in middle school career exploration and the development of grades 9-14 pathways for the Pathways to Prosperity Network. Tobie is Tennessee's state lead and is the developer of the Possible Futures, Possible Selves (PFPS) career exploration curriculum. A key focus of Tobie's Pathways work is the provision of youth agency in their futures, career awareness, guidance, and experiential activities to support young people in choosing appropriate career pathways, especially in STEM fields. Tobie has prior success as a professor, teacher, and as the director of an Expeditionary Learning school, where she led student-centered approaches to teaching, engaging students in experiential projects, especially in STEM fields. She has worked extensively with students, teachers, and communities to help them understand the links between school learning and having an impact in the “real world.”
