Maddie Darveau

Maddie is a second year student at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa majoring in Marketing with a minor in Apparel Merchandising and Design and Philosophy. As an avid student leader throughout high school, Maddie created a platform similar to Humans of New York for her high school, Stories of Waukee, which empowered students to share their personal stories and emphasized communication. At her university, Maddie is the Digital Storyteller for the campus Gender Equity club and enjoys attending diversity lectures. With a passion for event planning and civic engagement, Maddie’s role as Event Coordinator within Student Voice is a perfect fit. When not in class or at her internship(s), Maddie enjoys connecting with friends, watching/reading rom-coms, and baking.
