Matti Hammett
Matti Hammett works in Youth Education at HMNS coordinating the Weekday Lab program during the school-year and the summer camp programs during the summer. Matti graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history from Furman University. She has worked in the Special Collections department of the James B. Duke Furman University Library, the Rothko Chapel archives, and the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum prior to working full time at HMNS. Through her various roles at HMNS, Matti has had the opportunity to educate the general public about the museum, interact with many different student groups, and help facilitate a wide variety of educational programs for children and adults. Matti has worked with her two Co-Chairs on the Committee for Advancing Museum Accessibility to create accessibility resources, implement Sensory Friendly Events, and conduct Touch Tours at the museum in order to open up the museum’s doors to audiences that wouldn’t normally be able to access their institution.
