Season Mussey
Season Mussey is a teacher. It is not what she does; it is who she is. Teaching is her calling and her gift. After 17 years as a professional educator, with experience at every level, she remains hopeful about the possibilities of education, even amidst the realities of the American public school system. This is challenging work.
Season holds a Master of Arts and a Doctorate in the field of Education. She knows that teachers can transform the lives of individuals, schools, and communities. She knows what high expectations for all students can do. When done well, teaching can be an avenue for ending oppression and increasing opportunity.
Through the kaya teacher project, her hope is that all teachers might be empowered with this understanding. She believes that by teaching, serving, and loving teachers, we can make schools better for kids.
