Denis Newman

Denis Newman is CEO and founder of Empirical Education Inc., a Silicon Valley-based R&D firm that uses its deep knowledge of education and its expertise in analytics, research design, and engineering, to help K-12 schools understand the impact and efficacy of their programs and processes. With a PhD from CUNY, his research has been widely published and he has conducted research and development at Rockefeller University, UC San Diego, Bank Street College of Education, and BBN Corporation. He was a pioneer in the application of Internet technologies for student learning, professional development, and school administration. His business career has included senior positions at educational software companies Tegrity and Soliloquy Learning.
