Jacob Fraire
Jacob Fraire has been selected as the new President and CEO of the Texas Association of Community Colleges (TACC). Before joining TACC, Mr. Fraire spent 17 years at Texas Guaranteed
Student Loan Corporation (TG), serving as Vice President of Philanthropy and as Assistant Vice President of Educational Alliances and Partnerships. During this time he provided leadership in the design, implementation, growth and assessment of TG’s corporate philanthropy that has awarded more than $79 million in highly competitive grants. He was also the chief architect for the philanthropy driven research portfolio and public policy plan. Prior to joining TG, Mr. Fraire served as senior legislative coordinator for a Washington, D.C. lobbying firm, which represented higher education institutions. Mr. Fraire holds a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin and a B. S. in computer science from St. Edwards University.
