Matt Williams
Matt Williams is the VP of Education for Goodwill Central Texas. In his role, he oversees The Excel Center, a high school diploma program for 17-50 year old students, Goodwill Career and Technical Academy, a school that offers over 25 professional certifications for career advancement, and the internal training of 1,600 employees across 36 locations.
Prior to the Excel Center, Matt was founding principal of Bronx Design and Construction Academy, a CTE high school in the South Bronx. BxDCA replaced a school with a 22% graduation rate and had a first graduating class with an 83% graduation rate. Previously, Matt worked with students in the Stanford Teacher Education Program while pursuing his M.A. in Policy, Organization and Leadership, worked at the NYCDOE implementing online formative assessments and served as a Partner at TNTP consulting school districts and overseeing alternative certification programs in Chicago and Nashville.
