Emily Tsiang

Emily is a Life Design Fellow at Stanford University where she teaches in the Design Program and at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (d.school). Passionate about the intersection of design education and entrepreneurship, she co-founded Design+Business, the first student-led design thinking organization at the University of Michigan, and CULTURE LABx. Emily started CLx following her M&A role at Cisco, where she led end-to-end global integration for five startup acquisitions. Before her foray into tech, she spent a decade in urban economic development and served in the Mayor's Office of Los Angeles, Boston, and New York City. She received her BA in Economics & East Asian Studies from UCLA and a MBA in Organizational Strategy & Design from the University of Michigan.
