Dwight Jones
Dwight Jones serves as Vice President for National Urban Initiatives for the School Group at McGraw Hill Education, partnering with numerous organizations to find new ways to address the needs of administrators, teachers and students in some of the largest and most academically diverse school districts in the country. A nationally recognized educational leader, Jones has held virtually every position in K12 public education, with a noteworthy role as superintendent of the nation’s fifth largest school district – Clark County in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to his time in Nevada, Jones served as the Colorado Commissioner of Education, where his efforts to improve gaps in public education, especially those related to race and socioeconomic status, have been recognized by state leaders at all levels. Jones also oversaw the development of the Colorado Growth Model, which depicts the overall achievement of schools and their districts, and has since been implemented in more than 15 states.
