As SCE’s Program Officer, Sarah Kammerer manages the digital learning strategy. She is a 2012 Fulbright Research Scholar to India, where she worked with women’s groups in rural communities to identify and address health barriers. She has an MPH from the University of Illinois, Chicago and a BA in Political Science from Virginia Tech, where she was a scholarship athlete on the women’s varsity soccer team. Following her undergraduate studies, Sarah worked in the US Congress, on Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign, and as a health policy analyst focused on reform efforts at the state and federal level. Sarah serves on the Women & Global Development Steering Committee at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and is an advisory council member for 1871’sWiSTEM, which fosters opportunities for women in technology by connecting them to capital and community resources. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Mikva Challenge which develops youth to be informed and active citizens.
