Andrea Woods
Andrea Woods is a humanities teacher in Missouri - the only all-girls public school in the state. Her passion for social justice, project-based learning, and technology make her classroom an extraordinary place to learn. Andrea's goal when designing curriculum is to help her students become liberated leaders who use technology to bring equity into the world. “I've developed a new pedagogy of teaching [I call] C.T.P.- Culture, Technology, and Projects,” she explains. “For example, I facilitate a project-based learning unit entitled ‘If I Ruled the World...’ where students learn about the rich history of the ancient Egyptian civilization to inform the creation of their own civilizations.” Andrea is a graduate of Northwestern and Arizona State universities.
