Kim Clark

Asst Dir
Education Writers Association

Kim Clark is an assistant director of the Education Writers Association, which is the professional organization that represents journalists who cover education in the U.S. Her focus is providing training, resources and assistance to those covering higher education. Previously, she spent more than 20 years as a staff writer for newspapers and magazines, including the Baltimore Sun, Fortune, US News & World Report, and, most recently, Money magazine. At Money, she spearheaded the development of the magazine's college rankings, which were the first to combine measures on college quality, affordability, student debt repayment and labor market outcomes. These have been praised by independent experts as the rankings that "get it right."
