Scott Smith

Scott Smith is an education industry leader having led some of the world’s most recognized and respected companies’ efforts in this area. At Elsevier he is the President of Education focused on improving student and program outcomes. Before joining Elsevier, he was CEO of eLumen Collaborative, a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform for documenting, managing and reporting student learning outcomes assessment. Prior to that, he served as President, Learning Assessment, for Pearson, where he led Pearson's classroom assessment business. Earlier in his career, Scott held multiple executive positions within Thomson Learning (now Cengage), including roles in marketing, product management, business development and ultimately oversaw corporate strategy and alliances for Thomson Gale, the largest publisher of reference information with products in nearly 100% of the school systems and academic institutions in North America.
