Sean McGee
Sean is an instructor and outreach coordinator for the Homeland Security and Emergency program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) and principal member the Center for the Study of Security, Hazards, Response, and Preparedness (C-SSHRP). Sean initially served with the North Slope Borough through June of 1993, when he accepted a position with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Police Department. Sean has served as an instructor for firearms, defensive tactics, pepper spray, and Taser. While at the UAF Police Department, Sean held the rank of officer, sergeant, lieutenant, captain and Chief. Sean was a member of the Alaska State Trooper's Specialized Emergency Reaction Team for 15 years. He became a full-time faculty for the UAF Homeland Security Emergency Management program in 2014, upon retirement from law enforcement. In September 2000, Sean graduated from the 202nd Session of the F.B.I.'s National Academy, additionally he holds an M.A. in Justice Administration from UAF.
