Michael Chavez

Michael Chavez is the Vice President of Student Success at Lone Star College-Montgomery in Houston, TX. In this role, he provides leadership to all areas in student success. Currently, Michael is focusing on using analytics as the driving vehicle to increased enrollment, persistence, retention and student success. Previously, Michael was Vice President of Administrative and Student Services at Coastal Bend College, where he provided leadership to all administrative services and student services. Earlier in his career, Michael held the position of Dean of Enrollment Management at Midland College. In this role, he provided leadership and fiscal oversight for the following departments: Advising/Counseling, Testing, Disability Services, Transfer, Register's, Veterans Affairs, Financial Aid, Admissions, and Recruiting
