In 2002 Andrew heard a student describe unique transformational learning experiences at The Met High School in Providence, RI, “mother ship” of the Big Picture Learning Network. That fall, Andrew joined the Met as an Advisor (Teacher) with a 9th grade advisory group through their graduation in 2006. Andrew spent 9 years as a teacher & administrator at two of the Flagship schools in the Big Picture Learning Network where he has served as an teacher/advisor, Post-secondary planning and College- Transition Counselor, and a “Learning Through Internship Coordinator” developing partnerships with local businesses and organizations as sites for student internships. Andrew has assisted with the expansion of the BPL Network in a variety of capacities, and joined the leadership team of BPL in 2013.
