Daniel Silva

Daniel Silva was born in Chicago Heights, IL and later moved to Texas. Upon graduating high school, he served as a U.S. Marine for a year and a half. He felt a calling for the IT sector and during his time as a tutor, he found Year Up. While enrolled in the program at El Centro College, he maintained a part-time role as a tutor for developmental mathematics. In January of 2018, he graduated from Year Up and was honored with the Dave Retik for excellence award, an award for Leadership and for receiving no infractions along with perfect attendance. He plans to re-enroll at El Centro College shortly with plans to transfer to University of Texas at Dallas to complete his Bachelor’s degree. Daniel is currently completing IT courses to obtain an Associate degree for Networking Administration and Support (Security). In February of 2018, he was offered a position at JP Morgan Chase & Co., as a Client Service Representative for Wholesale Lending Services where he is currently employed today.
