Jason Littlefield
In 2013 while in living in Benin, Africa the universe breathed a new sense of purpose in Jason and the following year be became a Specialist with the nationally renowned Social and Emotional Learning team in the Austin Independent School District. This role has been the vehicle for spreading the paradigm shifting work of mindset, self-care, mindfulness and restorative practices within the systems and structures of public education.
Jason has brought mindfulness training into the arena of restorative practices by working in conjunction with Life Anew Restorative Justice. He is an also a contributing author to the Chicken Soup For The Soul Hallway Heroes literacy-based anti-bullying curriculum and is currently coauthoring Peaceful Teen a mindfulness guide for youth.
Overall, Jason has worked with children (K-12) for over twenty years, including roles as a certified teacher, athletic coach and high school assistant principal. Other experiences include serving as counselor at a therapeutic wilderness camp, and working in schools in Taiwan, China and Benin, Africa.
