Ana Roca Castro

Ana Roca Castro started her career at Columbia University where she managed educational projects for the School of Public Health. She then led the implementation of Oracle Learning Management System (OLM) for the United Nations. In 2008, Ana became a social entrepreneur and started her first tech venture to help businesses and organizations achieve their capacity building objectives via state-of-the-art application development. Ana and her team have developed a series of educational platforms and over 100 educational games. Her latest startup Genius Plaza is dedicated to closing the academic achievement gap particularly among children of recent immigrants and At-Risk students. Ana is also the founder of Latinos in Tech Innovation and Social Media (#LATISM). A non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of the Latino community in the areas of education, health, business and inclusion through the use of tech innovation and social media.
