Leona is founder and CEO of Catalyst:Ed, the first platform to connect education organizations with pre-vetted experts for mission-critical projects. Catalyst:Ed leverages its expert network (the largest in the United States), technology and know-how to help schools, nonprofits and community groups get quick, reliable and affordable access to expertise to solve some of their biggest challenges. Catalyst:Ed also partners with foundations and state and federal agencies to refocus and re-energize their capacity building and technical assistance programming by bringing targeted and sustainable expertise to grantees.
Previously, as Senior Program Director and founding team member at Safal Partners, Leona played a pivotal role in growing Safal to one of the premier education consulting firms in the nation. She has led projects with the Federal Department of Education, national foundations, and high-performing school districts and non-profits. Prior to Safal, Leona led Pratham USA, a nonprofit organization focused on ensuring education access and quality for children in developing countries. Previously, she has worked with the World Bank and Unilever. Leona has an MPP from Duke University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management.
