Dan has spent his career moving back-and-forth between design and education. He has developed strategy for Fortune 500 companies; played leadership roles at non-profits, for-profits, schools and universities; & taught a wide range of subjects to a wild range of students, in the US and abroad. At Continuum, a global innovation and design consultancy, Dan partnered with senior leadership at firms like PepsiCo and BBVA—helping clients develop their own organizations’ capacity to innovate. Before Continuum, Dan spent 20 years in education as a high school teacher, a college professor, and a grad school dean; working for educational non-profits and edtech for-profits; consulting widely in he education, municipal, high-tech and healthcare sectors. Nowadays, Dan is the CLO at the Woodrow Wilson Academy, leading the design of a radically innovative model of problem-based, proficiency-driven teacher education through a partnership with MIT.
