Texas Lesson Study: Teacher-Driven Research & Design
Participants of Texas Lesson Study (TXLS) form teams to research, design, pilot, reflect, and refine a master lesson that is peer-reviewed and published as original content. Teachers thus become investigators and experimenters. This interactive crash-course parallels the training TXLS teachers receive prior to beginning the TXLS cycle and dives into the research and instructional design phases. Attendees implement a mini research project that results in a high-impact, student-centered lesson.
