Beyond the Box: Reshaping PD for Urban Districts
El Paso ISD and UTEP are piloting an innovative, competency-based PD program to support the district’s expansion of its pioneer Dual Language initiative. This workshop will explore the process leaders went through to define critical competencies for Dual Language teachers and establish data-driven evidence of competency attainment. Participants will learn best practices and engage in an interactive exercise for mapping the process of competency development, tracking, implementing, and scaling.
