Get Ready for Maker-Based Instruction
The proliferation of makerspaces in K-12 schools is outpacing the development of pedagogical supports designed to help teachers effectively integrate them into their instruction. The result is that although many K-12 schools have makerspaces, they remain underused. In order to realize the full potential of the maker movement in K-12 schools, we share new strategies to assist teachers incorporating maker-based instruction into their classrooms and everyday teaching practices.
