Many educators struggle to innovate in the face of rigid school cultures, unfunded mandates, and hostile political environments. These conditions tend to stifle change by privileging tradition and status quo, making it difficult for teachers and administrators to adapt to meet the needs of their students. How might we affect change in the face of resistance, and develop strategies for sustaining innovation within our spheres of influence?
