In Ohio and Texas, educators are pursuing performance-based assessments as alternatives to current state assessments. In this session, Ohio and Texas teachers, the Ohio Superintendent of Instruction, and the Stanford SCALE Executive Director share lessons learned in the design and development process, early implementation successes, and future outcomes for their work. Examples of classroom teaching and learning with performance assessment demonstrate the educational shifts taking place.
