Quick Bio

Jennifer Boudrye is the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) Director of Library Programs. She has been instrumental in strengthening the school library programs in DCPS schools, increasing library staffing by 61% for the 2014-2015 school year and expanding the professional development opportunities for all library media specialists (LMS). Jennifer works directly with the DCPS Director of Educational Technology to ensure that LMSs are able to model and support technology integration in addition to information literacy across all curricula. Prior to joining DCPS, she was a school library media specialist and administrator in Montgomery County, MD public schools.. Before earning her MLS from the University of MD, Jennifer worked as a web publisher, radio talk show producer and host. Jennifer is committed to ensuring that all students in all DCPS schools have access to the best information resources and opportunities to develop expert information literacy skills for school and life.
