Quick Bio

Samantha Sherwood is the co-principal of Bronx Arena High School, a NYC school exclusively serving overage and under-credited students. Prior to being the co-principal, she was one of the founders of the school, serving as assistant principal and also as a Generalist teacher at Bronx Arena, where she taught in a fully blended, asynchronous classroom. Previously, she worked as a middle school teacher and served as the Science Department Chair for 3 years at Mott Hall V, a 6th - 12th grade school in the South Bronx. At Mott Hall V, she helped to implement blended instruction with a project-based curriculum. Samantha holds a B.S. from the Honors Program at the University of Connecticut in human development and family policy, a M.A. in education from Lehman College, and a M.A. in school leadership and education policy from Bank Street College of Education.
