NYC Department of Education - Sr Dir of Policy & Implementation
Charisse Taylor is the Senior Director of Policy and Implementation, Computer Science for All, a public private partnership between the New York City Department of Education and CSNYC that is charged with bringing computer science education to 1.1 million students across the city. Prior to joining CS4All, Charisse served as the Director of Youth Career Connect NYC (YCC-NYC), citywide pilot initiative with a mission to expand the American talent pipeline in the fields of Information Technology and Engineering. Charisse has 13 years of experience as a program designer and implementer for young people in NYC. In 2011, Charisse joined the Office of Postsecondary Readiness at the New York City Department of Education where she has been instrumental in the design and implementation of various pilot initiatives including CTE Summer Scholars, the Expanded Success Initiative, and Youth Career Connect NYC.
Charisse is a Board Member of the College Access Consortium of New York (CACNY) and the New York State Association of College Admissions Counseling (NYSACAC) where she serves as a member of the Coming Together Conference Committee.
