The Kinkaid School - Innovation Coord
Beginning her 14th year in education, Krissy has worked in public school settings including urban, rural, and suburban. She has presented internationally on creativity, the Maker Movement, and encouraging educators to think beyond the tools of technology.
In her current role, she serves as Innovation Coordinator for Kinkaid Lower School where she helped develop and currently runs The Launch Pad, a space that embraces design thinking, making, learning, and dreaming big for PreKindergarten through 4th grade learners. She also provides professional learning experiences for teachers as a coach for innovation throughout the school.
Her passion for creativity, photography, and learning make her daily work feel like play. Experiences with NASA, SpaceCamp, and a variety of learning technologies have fueled the fire for her love of integrating the world into learning. Her biggest hope is to bring joy and play back into the classroom, one piece of cardboard at a time.
