Patrick Riccards is the author of the award-winning Eduflack blog and keeper of its industry-leading @Eduflack Twitter feed. Patrick began his career on Capitol Hill, where he served in senior communications positions for members of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House. The former executive director for communications and public affairs at American Institutes for Research, he has also served as executive director of the Pennsylvania STEM Initiative and de facto chief of staff for the National Reading Panel. The author of three books on education and communications, Patrick was named the 2015 Not-for-Profit Communicator of the Year by PR News, and has won numerous awards for his public engagement efforts in education reform. He lives in Princeton, NJ with his wife and two kids, and is a former local school board chairman.
