Council of Chief State School Officers - Dir Innovation Lab Network
Jennifer’s mission is to impact social justice by helping education system leaders deliver high-quality educational experiences that are responsive to the needs of all students, especially the most disadvantaged. Currently, Jennifer directs the Innovation Lab Network (ILN) at the Council of Chief State School Officers. She oversees the work of the ILN to support twelve states acting as incubators for state-level policies and practices that scale promising innovations in student-centered learning from the ground-up. At heart, Jennifer is a scientist and a teacher, having graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in molecular and cellular biology and an M.Ed in Teaching and Curriculum. She taught 9th grade biology at King/Drew High School in Compton, CA and served as CCSSO’s Research Director prior to her work with the ILN.
