Quick Bio

Liz Gossens serves Communications Strategy Group (CSG®) as a Senior Associate in the agency’s Education Practice, with a primary focus on K-12 clients. Liz works closely with her clients to achieve their communications goals by helping them develop the messaging and strategies necessary to reach their target audiences. Her expertise includes strategic planning and messaging, partnership and network development, influencer relations, event design, production and facilitation, and content creation and dissemination.

Liz has helped her clients secure speaking opportunities at industry events including SXSWedu (where she is in her third year on the Advisory Board), the National Council on the Social Studies (NCSS) Annual Conference, the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) and more. She has also secured media placement in industry publications including EdSurge, THE Journal, Education Dive, eSchool News, and District Administration. With a deep understanding of the education sector, Liz supports her clients by developing and executing strategic communications plans focused on increasing awareness and driving engagement.

Prior to joining CSG, Liz was an account executive in Hager Sharp’s education practice, leading projects with the U.S. Department of Education, The Nature Conservancy, Educational Testing Service (ETS), the Annie E. Casey Foundation, ePals, and the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC). Before coming to Hager Sharp, Liz was an associate with Collaborative Communications Group. She started her career in education as the program director for Kids Set Sail, and spent several years working with afterschool programs in Washington, D.C.
