Summary

The learning path represents the relationship between the things that should be studied and the order they should be studied in. By experiencing this adventure map of learning, learners embark on an active journey in quest of knowledge. NHK, Japan’s public broadcaster, has been developing the application to utilize its vast catalogue of educational contents and semantic analysis, which allows each learner to organize their own learning path motivated by personal interest. Learners explore NHK contents according to what they want to know and how the items are related. The application is also linked to Japan’s national curriculum. The session introduces a demonstration of the application.
