Summary

The Restorative Justice Practices (RJP) Panel is an ideal platform to present valuable information to a broad audience whose work directly impacts the social and emotional learning (SEL) and academic aptitudes of our children in K-12 schools today. RJP is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education data reports as an effective alternative to traditional punitive discipline systems of “zero-tolerance” policies, reduces school to prison pipeline and addresses disproportionality by race/ethnicity and GenEd/SPeD. RJP prevents harm through extensive community building and intervention through de-escalation classroom management techniques while building life skills that support enduring success.
