Summary

Pixar in a Box, a partnership between Pixar Animation Studios and Khan Academy, is a behind-the-scenes look at Pixar’s film-making pipeline and a free online STEAM education program. Through a series of instructional videos and interactive activities, students learn specific academic principles and see how core curriculum topics they are learning in school - in the areas of math, science, computer science, and humanities - are utilized every day for creative benefit at Pixar. This talk will be a demonstration of how the program works, giving an overview of the content and drilling into one lesson on how Pixar uses math to bring animated characters to life.
