Summary

Thanks to the collaborated efforts of The Anti-Defamation League, USC Shoah Foundation,& Yad Vashem, Echoes and Reflections provides middle & high school educators free professional development and online resources to develop the knowledge, capacity, and practice required to responsibly and effectively teach the Holocaust. We will explore the pedagogy for teaching about the Holocaust through the exploration of visual testimony. This session will highlight the interdisciplinary materials available in Echoes and Reflections online portal, including, photographs, poetry, diaries, and visual testamony, and allow participants time to discuss the value of using such materials in the classroom.
