The Jed Foundation conducted a study recently among first year college students and 60 percent wished they had been more emotionally prepared for college. This session will examine the problems students have in their first-year, including problems taking care of themselves, resolving conflicts and dealing with self-destructive behaviors. Three experts will describe what high schools, counselors and parents can do to encourage students to be more emotionally prepared for the transition.
