Summary

Storytelling is used for entertainment, selling, presenting—and yes, teaching. It can play a key role in the classroom, particularly helping students see the world through someone else’s eyes. The head of storytelling nonprofit The Moth's Education Program, Micaela Blei will talk about how educators can and should bring storytelling into the classroom—setting the scene for honest, safe creativity from students. Also to be shared: What’s been learned through the experience of doing storytelling with students as part of The Moth’s ongoing high school program.
