Summary

From professional development in a large urban district to teacher preparation in a small university (and much in between), this panel of public, private and academic voices share insights on why online professional learning underwhelms--and the merits of “job-embedded” approaches. Hear lessons learned from launching an online learning initiative for 80,000 public school teachers to teaching 60 special education teachers completing a university-based certification program, from digital translations of face-to-face professional development to authentic online and blended learning in STEM settings. Panelist will use a Twitter backchannel to capture thoughts in real-time and drive discussion.
